News Desk | Sports (NHL)- The Minnesota Wild acquired winger Bobby Brink from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for defenseman David Jiricek on Friday, according to multiple reports, in a one-for-one deal completed ahead of the NHL trade deadline. The move reshapes both rosters as teams adjust lineups during the final hours of the league’s transaction window.
Brink, a 24-year-old right wing, had recorded 13 goals and 13 assists in 55 games for Philadelphia this season. The Flyers selected him in the second round of the 2019 NHL Draft and he appeared in more than 200 games for the club during his tenure.
Minnesota, seeking additional offensive depth, adds a playmaking winger known for his puck movement and power-play contributions. Brink stands 5-foot-8 and shoots right, and he previously represented the United States at the IIHF World Junior Championships before establishing himself in the NHL with Philadelphia.
In return, Philadelphia receives 22-year-old defenseman David Jiricek, a former sixth overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. Jiricek appeared in 25 NHL games this season with Minnesota and had yet to register a point.
League sources said the transaction was part of a series of deadline-day moves across the NHL as teams reposition rosters for the remainder of the 2025–26 season. The swap between Minnesota and Philadelphia was among the early deals reported as the deadline approached.
The trade provides the Wild with additional forward scoring options while the Flyers strengthen their defensive pipeline with a young blueliner viewed as having long-term development potential.
The situation remains part of ongoing trade-deadline activity across the NHL.
